Prof. Dr. Florian Kühnel

Florian Kühnel is a Principal Investigator in SP9 and a member of the Curriculum Committee.

His research focus lies on oncolytic virotherapy, molecular retargeting, immunogenic cell death, and tumor immunology.

Prof. Kühnel has served as organizer of the seminar series ‘Gastroenterologisches Kolloquium’ since 2011, given lectures on oncolytic viruses and virotherapy in the program MSc. Molecular Medicine and MSc. Biochemistry, module ‘Tumorbiology’ since 2019, and since that same year has been a member of the advisory board of the central animal facility of the MHH.
